Mandatory Health Insurance for Visitors If you are entering Qatar on a visitor visa (including visas-on-arrival), you are legally required to hold a valid health insurance policy. The Rule: You must purchase this policy from a vendor authorized by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). Exemptions: You may be exempt from buying a local policy if you already hold an international insurance plan from an approved provider that covers Qatar for your entire stay. Passport & Hayya Entry Rules If you are entering via a Hayya E-Visa or Tourist Visa, ensure your travel documents meet the strict criteria: your passport must have a minimum validity of 3 months from your date of arrival.
