Welcome to Masaqa! We are committed to transparency. Here is a clear, detailed look at how payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds are managed on our platform.
π€ 1. Important Notice: Peer-to-Peer Transactions
Masaqa is a classifieds platform, not an online marketplace.
- We do not handle transactions: Buyers and sellers connect on Masaqa but meet physically in person to safely inspect items and exchange final payments.
- No item refunds: Because Masaqa is never involved in or responsible for the sale of items, we cannot issue refunds, mediate transactions, resolve product quality disputes, or offer guarantees for items or services traded between users.
π 2. Masaqa Subscriptions & Paid Features
Masaqa generates revenue solely through paid user subscriptions and premium ad visibility features (such as boosting an ad, pinning a listing to the top, or business subscription tiers).
β 3. Exceptions: When You CAN Request a Refund
We believe in complete fairness. You are fully eligible to request a refund under the following valid situations:
- Technical Errors / Double Billing: If an internal system or gateway glitch inadvertently charges you twice for the same subscription or premium features, we will promptly reverse the duplicate payment.
- Rejected Listings: If you pay to post or promote an ad, and our moderation team rejects the listing before it goes live on the platform because it conflicts with our guidelines, you will be granted a refund.
- Accidental Auto-Renewals: If your monthly membership automatically renewed and you wish to opt out, you must contact us within 24 hours of the charge. The refund will be honored provided you have not posted any new listings or activated premium features within those 24 hours.
β 4. When Refunds Will NOT Be Issued
To prevent exploitation of digital services, refunds or credits cannot be offered for:
- Change of Mind: Deciding you no longer require or want the subscription features after they have already been active.
- Fast Item Sales: If your item sells within a few days of posting, we cannot issue a partial or full refund for the remaining days left on your 30-day premium ad tier.
- Low Performance / Ad Reach: If your listing does not generate the explicit volume of clicks, inquiries, views, or offers you expected. Reach depends entirely on buyer demand.
- Policy Violations (Banned Accounts): If your account is suspended or a listing is removed because you violated our platform's Terms of Service (e.g., posting scams, prohibited items, or fraudulent activities), all active balances are forfeited.

If your circumstances accurately align with the authorized exceptions detailed in Section 3, please prepare and send your request:
π Direct-to-Card Refund Method
Once verified and approved, all refunds are initiated directly back to the original bank card utilized during the purchase. Please note that processing timelines fluctuate based entirely on local banking infrastructure inside Qatar. It may require a few business banking days for the funds to formally settle back onto your card balance statement.
